Hello,

I live in the Raleigh, NC area and am new to this forum. I am looking for customs machine ideas that people have built for metal shaping. I have been casting sculptures for sometime in Bronze and Aluminum and want to see how I can create different textures in sheet metal. I wanted to see if anyone in this forum has create a large english wheel with hydraulics for forming or other hydraulic press type of applications.

Thanks!

Welcome to AllMetalShaping Dunham. The only SUPER stiff powered ewheels I've ever seen were computer controlled for ship building. There may have been others but I've not seen them.

I've shaped 1/4" 3003, 14 ga stainless and 14 ga Corten with one of my machines. It is a WORKOUT!

Lots of folks use presses.

What are you wanting to do?
