started on the dash today, i am converting this tub to look like a pre-a (around 1954/55) lots of changes to the body, smaller window's, deeper sills, different nose panel, different fenders, rear lights etc... so in keeping with the changes, i started on the dash. it's not going to be a replica period dash because i don't have one to copy, so this is going to be made by memory and a picture i have lol.

marking out from the centre

i bent the panel in the slip rolls, ran it through the wheel to get some crown in the top half, then started to hammer out the centre section, like the original has.

This might be premature, but what are your drive-train plans for the car?

having the picture printed off is helping get it closer which is nice, altering it slightly, just so at first glance it looks genuine

it was nigh on impossible to make a fence for the jiggly machine to put the beads in, as it is now. so i did it free hand feeding the panel through following a marker line, i will straighten the line up with a hammer an dolly/bolster chisel, then probably run it through again.

thanks for watching
