Default Want to learn how to form brass parts

Hi. My name is Larry and I live outside of Boston. I've wanted to learn how certain parts are made - I'm hoping to learn how to make some of them, but even if I only learn how they're made it would be more than I know now!

Hi Larry
You membership has been approved, welcome to the forum
There are a number of members that work with nonferrous materials.
The tools and processes are similar to steel, but work hardening is different!

Hi Larry,
I am currently making 6 complete brass radiators. It includes aluminum hammer forms, radius brake, box and pan brake, Pullmax, soldering and welding of the brass. What sort of information are you interested in? Do you have a project in mind that could help us to talk about specific operations?
Fabricating these radiators is done a bit differently than originally produced as they were primarily press formed.

Not to hijack the thread at all, but I would like to see you do a thread on the radiators Rick. Sounds interesting, especially soldering it all together!
