clean water needed for mixing AGW flux
I always try to stress using "clean water" for mixing AGW flux.
Not tap water. Not reagent-grade double-deionized - triple distilled...... Clean spring water - bottled is fine, failing a nearby clean spring.... Here is an ad for one bottled spring water I've used, every so often out on the road: http://www.youtube.com/embed/pfxB5ut-KTs?rel=0 Pellegrino and Gerolsteiner are both very good, even with the carbonation. (pssst.... it's dissolved iron (Fe) that kills the flux dead.)

Will an acetylene regulator (new) work for.the propane? WHT about hoses? Can I just buy a new regular set and keep them dedicated?

Also would you prefer oxy/hydrogen for steel or stainless steel as well? What about brass or copper?

Hi,
Oxy/Hydrogen is not recommended for steel or stainless as you will or could cause hydrogen enbritlment.
