Default introduction

Well, I wanted to introduce myself. I am one of those guys that loves to work on things, make them better than they were and as close to perfect as I can. In another lifetime I was an outside Salesman, but things change and when they do you have to adapt. I always worked with my hands and 4 years ago I started restoring 3 piece car wheels. You have to be detail oriented and taking an old 15 year old wheel and turning it in gem again can be challenging. I have restored several old Porsches and have a new project on the table. It will need a steel roof to be made on an English wheel and I have found an Metal Smith in Oxnard who has agreed to help me on my first one. I have been watching videos on YouTube and am finally ready to build something myself. I am amazed with what I have seen made with passion, knowledge, tools and perseverance. Wish me well and I will post pictures of the project and progress. Thanks. Jim
