Auto body dollies/fire
I recently had a fire, which destroyed my air compressor, welders and about 95% of my hand tools I have 4 or 5 dollies that were in the toolbox very close to where the oxy acetylene tanks blew off. will heat do any damage to them? Are they reusable if I can get the rust off?

Sorry to hear about the fire, that really sucks. Your dollies should be just fine.

There is a possibility that they may have got brittle, Please wear eye protection!! we should always wear it anyway.

Dollies are seldom made of heat treatable material especially the cheaper ones. Therefore they would not become brittle even if quenched by a fire hose. You should still wear eye protection.
