Default Calling from Hood River, Oregon

Hey All!,

I am really excited to have found this forum. I stumbled on it when I was researching some techniques.

I am new to metal shaping and I have been practicing art only for a year and a half now with some success. Until now I have been an industrial artist but I particularly enjoy engineering movement into my pieces.

Maybe some of you can identify with this but a year and a half ago when I built my first piece I found it to be so rewarding it was like finally being able to scratch an itch that I had never been able to get to before.

Mike

Welcome Mike,

Metal is a great outlet for many folks. Lots of the posters here are true artists with metal in the true sense of art and the fact that the cars or other work they turn out is art of another kind.

Keep posting, and let us know what you make, we ALL like pictures.
