Thanks guys, Kerry I just make each die as I need them as I usually don't have a lot of the same stuff to do.
My hand held reciprocating machine uses a air nibbler for the power, the punch tooling was self indexing so I just removed the punch and made a shank the same so it wouldn't turn. It started as a aggravation invention, while shaping a roof for a 1936 plymouth I was using a lancaster shrinker with a handle to gather up the wavy edges and thought something better could be done. I have built a couple more generations of this tool with electric power as some of my off site work did not have enough air to operate the air version. I will show the electric version some time in the near future, most of the time I have it mounted to my welding table with a little set of thumbnail dies just for tuning up the edges of panels. Pat |
