styrofoam buck
Has anyone worked with extruded polystyrene foam to make a pattern/buck i have a few projects i would like to try it on,what is the best way to shape it and work with it,glueing finishing etc,thanks.

yes, i worked with an acetat resistant foamsheet, 35kg each m3 so it is strong enough to make a buck, and soft enough to work with hand, and resistand enough to can use aceton, polyester-resin, and all other boddy material
if you look at " sika-block-material", you can find a lot about this modell-block-material, and if you dont make a full material buck, it is not so expensive i make prototype-car bumpers and some motocycle fuel tanks with this modell-block´s, easy to work, easy to repair, easy to shape, easy to make a mould with this http://necumer.com/index.php/en/
