Bugatti Chassis Details
Will Cronkrite and Jim Hery might find these photos useful. A company in Belgium Arie-Jean, reproduces a lot of Bugatti parts, including engines, chassis, and wheels. The owner, Arjen Geirnaert, 3-D scans original parts and then has new parts cast.

finned wheels - got to remember that fins directional, so RH wheels go on that side and LH go ..... (btw ... Years ago, when two Royales being done same time - wheel boyz sent back two sets of 4 same wheels, to each owner. JB and Wm Fisk remained unimpressed, until sets halved and matched back to L and R pairs, and back to owners.) Was looking for the polished forged front axles in your pix - the ones with forged window openings so the leaf springs can pass through the center of the axle, lowering the car nicely .... nahh, not yet. Odds and bits from Bugatti restos, ago: Yes, EB forged hissown monogrammed body bolts. Only trouble was - resto guidelines at HAC spake: "Remove bolt head markings" -- so one of the less fortunates did. But not a very clean swipe with grinder ? HAC Parts Dept had buckets of stuff, so I just had to hike on out to the cork building and rummage up fresh stocks. (Yup, I wuz "staff" ... )

Way cool 'stuff' Bill and Kent. I sure Jim will weigh in on this as well. He has spoken often about a European source for replica Bugatti parts, but I do not remember what the name of it was. I will be sure to save these pictures. 3D scan and build parts?......what a concept!

When car makers were artists. The details on these and others are truly works of art.
