Default Need some ideas - gear motors

I recently acquired two gear motors, and know I need to figure out what to do with them! Both are 220/240 AC power(not a problem, plenty of outlets in my shop). One is 9.3 RPM output, one is 35/45.5 RPM(has 2 speed motor).

Now, the question is, what should I build with them? I will probably (finally) power my beadroller with the 9.3 RPM one. The same guy I got these from also had a few with a variable speed control that I will try to talk him out of for the bead roller, but this one will do for now. Anyone have a good idea for the two speed motor?

The motors are British, and I don't see a HP rating, but the 9rpm says 60 watts and 26Nm output, the other says 150 watts and 19Nm.

According to google, 60 watts is .08 HP, and 150 is .2 HP, but that seems a little low for the size of these things. 26Nm is 35.2 ft/lbs. 19Nm is 25.8 ft/lbs.

Soooo, the 9 RPM motor is .08 HP 35.2 Ft/lbs, and the two speed is about .2 HP and 25.8 Ft/lbs.

I don't get the same foot pounds of torque that you did. 1 Nm = .7375 foot pounds. I agree with your HP numbers.

My calculations show .08 hp @ 19 foot pounds of torque and .2 hp @ 14 foot pounds of torque.

Are the motors 50 or 60 cycle? If they are 50 cycle they will run a little faster here on 60 cycle.

The case says 50/60 cycle

EDIT - Also, those are the numbers I got when I did the math, but then saw a chart that listed the numbers I put in my post. When I found the chart I assumed that I had messed something up. Should have trusted my own math!
