thanks john (oldneck) and cliffrod, i'm not good by any stretch but i am willing to try and have a go
so it's saturday and i called up to see peter to see how this piece would end up running through the dies to clean it up. the start, not looking to bad but needs some tweaking, peter did a little manipulation and some hammering with a wooden mallet on the bag. a few more runs through the dies, getting closer looking much better now and ready for trimming and welding together (it is almost by now) having a look around at peter's, it changes constantly with work that comes in, a nice panel to make lol, curves in 3 directions with no shrink or stretch marks along the window ledge, very cool thanks again peter

Thank you for posting those pics (saves me to have to do it LOL) The only thing that I would like to add to your comment (if I may?)..... If people wonder how a panel with that shape can be made with out shrinking well... on a panel with that shape or a shape like it , one shape compliments the other... (''or helps the other'') in another words... it's to do with coming away from the center of a given circle (the panel get's short) and then going in towards the center of a circle with your edges ( the panel gets longer ) that is what I mean by ''one shape compliments the other'' just experiment and you will see what happens Peter PS Neil.... with out taking anything away from your project ...all I have to say ...you are doing a GREAT job!

started to make another scuttle panel as i knew the last one i made could have been better so out with the steel much happier with this attempt as there will be less welding to produce the panel, as i can tip the window opening in, along with the hood opening
