Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.

thanks pugsy

i made an error (rather i fock3d up) fitting the front piece so i started again with it, been hammering away today doing it old school

first pass blocking one way

then turn over and block the other

Size: 47.1 KB

after some time blocking and chasing in the lines with an old hammer shaft ground down to a wedge shape, it gets closer

now i need to start planishing with a hammer and dolly, sharpening up the lines and moving them to where they should be.

thanks for watching

How about spot weld an right angle on the outer flange ....use it as a guide and run that trough the die now it would save you a lot of work

i've done a bit more tonight peter, it's getting closer and the lines are coming sharper. i'm not doing to bad, i started sunday morning and had a few hours in the garage, and a couple of hours tonight. your pullmax does make quick work of it lol, we'll see how it goes but thanks

i thought if i did it by hand i would not make the same mistake as last time due to the effort needed to make it lol, that way of thinking has worked for me before i think of you hammering in the door opening on that monaro 1/4 and think, i'm sure i can do this bit lol
