Default New guy from VA here

Hi guys. Great forum. I joined up to do some research on building an e-wheel as well as a much larger planishing hammer sort of thing. Having made numerous motorcycle fuel and oil tanks with nothing more than hammers and a crappy HF planishing hammer, I feel like I owe myself an upgrade or two haha. I operate a small custom motorcycle building concern called Atom Bomb Custom Motorcycles. I build about 3-4 bikes a year using British power with mostly scratch built frames, tins, etc.

I just finished making this gas tank, and that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin as far as me NOT having a wheel. Call me lazy, but there has to be a better way to get stuff smooth than the way I've been doing it!

Thanks for the welcome guys! Gator, I'm in Roanoke (Salem technically, but Roanoke is the big next door neighbor that folks have maybe heard of).

I stayed up too late last night reading. Loads of good stuff here!

That tank you shown just proves metal shaping can be done with basically just hand tools.

Tank is very nice

Welcome aboard, pull up a chair
