Default An introduction

Hello all, I've been checking this site out for a while now…there are some awesome people on here! A little background, I'm currently a full time student due to job loss. I'm changing my whole direction but still love tinkering and making noise in the garage. Im very creative and pretty dam handy, I've been bangin sheet metal for about 5 years now, built most of my tools, bought a few. I hope to get some pix up pretty soon…if school would ever stop kicking my tail. I'm into music (guitar player) and old air cooled VWs…thats what got me into metal shaping…since I can't afford to buy sheet metal panels for my early Karmann Ghia, I had to learn how to make them. I'm hungry for more knowledge and I hope I can pick up some more skills from you all and I'll share what ever I can along the way. When this semester is over, I'll have some more project time and be able to contribute more to the site, by way of questions mainly, but I'll show some of my toys and projects so everyone can check'em out to. Later

You might want to look up John Kelly. He's a member here (and many, many other sites) and is an expert in Karmann Ghia panel shaping.
He has some of the best video's on the web. He also holds metalshaping classes. See http://www.ghiaspecialties.com/
