Apprentice for a week
I hope I am posting this in the correct area. and it looks to be so by other threads.
Hi my name is Brent and my wife and i will be taking a week vacation this spring (for our second year anniversary) and we were talking about ideas and came across the idea of doing an internship at a high quality metal shop/fab/ect. We both currently work rebuilding wrecks (all current year vw's with uber thin metal) I am the painter/body/frame and she does most of my prep work. WE BOTH WORK! we are located in SC and we would be driving. So closer is better. and i would like this to be educational for us maybe help take a project from start to completion. I thought i would try this before signing up for a class. might learn something different. Thanks!

My recommendation to brush up on body work for an anniversary would be a villa on a quiet beach.

Not close to SC but you might consider Dan Pate's Route56 spring metal shapers gathering up in Minnesota.
A fall event is my Dixieland gathering in late September.

when we talked about learning more we wanted to learn more in a "profit" driven shop. Much like people i help with bodywork on weekends they get all excited seeing that they can do this and think they want a job in a bodyshop... and the differerence is well you know! thanks guys!
