Seat pan
I need some suggestions on some simple hand tools to turn down a flange around the perimeter of this seat pan. I want to turn down about 90 degrees a flange about 3/8 inch wide. Thanks!

Take an 8" long 3/8 or 1/2 inch bolt and cut a 3/8" deep slot down its center with a hacksaw or cut-off tool. Slightly round the sharp corners and edge of the cut.
About 10 degrees at a time use the tool to bend over the flange. Overlap you tool positions. That's do it.

You can use a shifter or adjustable wrench, or pliers if the flange is not to thick.

I practiced on a piece of scrap with a spanner this morning. I think that will work great. Pics to come when I get back to it. Thanks!

Good work.
This times will be no need for machines, back to trees and basic thinking. Not cnc and not more managers. Good work and good logic result.
Did you have a good dimension for the model?

I think that is the problem these days, The way of the future is machines, to do everything, leaving basic tools behind and leaving all the skills to the tradesman.
I would like to see a new motor technician these days to do a tune on a 1960's vehicle, they wouldn't have a clue.

Jaroslav, i'm not sure of your question, are you looking for dimensions on the design?
