Default Sheet Metal Bible

A couple weeks ago I ran across an ad for Timothy Remus' new book. "Sheet Metal Bible" and ordered it $30.

I'm really impressed. It's really full of basic stuff done by various pro shapers with tons and TONS of photos. Almost a how to of things like air cleaners, Model A fender, cycle tank, mini indy roadster, and more. Ten chapters total.

One theme that seems constant is the pro's comment that folks need to learn hand methods before they invest in power tools.

Good book and I recommend it.

I got mine from http://MidLifeClassicCars.com

I'm sure it's available at many places. ISBN 978-1-929133-90-1

I donīt know if i am right on this one, but i have Advanced sheet metal fabrication by Timothy remus, and the projectsīs/pictures that are on cover of the sheet metal bible, are same projects, that are in advanced sheet metal shaping..i just looked the coverīs pictures, an hey they look familiar. So is this a new book, with old projects?, or is there the old projects + something new...?

Anyways, i think the advanced sheet metal shaping, is a good book to have, though it focuses little bit on power hammerīs.

There's also Remus's "Ultimate Sheet Metal Fabrication". I wonder if any of its chapters are in "The Sheet Metal Bible" as well?

I looked at the table of contents and it looked to be different .There are a few articles that were the same but for the most part a different book.

There is also another book that is coming out March 15th called Automotive Sheet Metal Forming and Fabrication from SA Design, author is Matt Joseph. Amazon sent me an email taking pre-orders, should be available after March 15th. As far as the Sheet Metal Bible from Tim Remus there is a review on it from Amazon that says "If you dont own any of Tim Remus's other metalworking books, youll enjoy this book. However, if you do have Tims other books, you'll be disappointed because this book is mostly a repackaging of previous material. Because of that, I was very disappointed.
