Hi Group
My name is Russell smith' I go by Rusty and am from the the norther part of North Carolina, Henderson to be exact. I am retired but still do restoration of classic cars on the side. I have been working with metal, welding and the like since I taught myself how to weld way back when I was 9 years old. I am still learning, and I believe you can never stop learning. I found this website when a member of a Corvair forum posted a link to it, and I came to check out when he was talking about, so I thought I would join up. I hope you will have me, and that I can contribute to this forum in some small way.
Rusty.

Welcome from another North Carolinian.
Familiar with Henderson, went to school in Norlina in the first grade.
The trains still ran through there, then, that tells you how long ago it was.
Grandparent's lived there. My mom's from Ridgeway right up the road.

Lots of great information and techniques and advice to be found here.

Dave

Hi Dave!
I moved down here in 98, when CVS bought out the rite aid drug store chain. I had been running a lobster boat back in RI, and they were looking for some one to over see the warehouse operations at the time, so I stepped up, and "thought" it was only going to be for a couple months while the boat was out of the water during the winter layover, that was until the wife decided to come down for a visit while I was down there!, well, long story short, I am still here and my boat is no longer my boat....
But the weather is a lot kinder on my now older bones.
