Default Making a bead by hand

I've enjoyed the shrinking using the stump techniques so much I'm inspired to start my first learning project. This got me thinking about how you can use hand tools to put a bead in. Yes a bead roller is nice but that would skip the fun of really learning the hand techniques.

Anyone have some handy youtube links they have saved?

Thanks,
John

look at flow forming.

Making all the lower dies for each job will send you nuts.

Default beading by hand

I made swages or channels by having bar stock under the channel and using a hammer and chisel to form the edge. It came out OK, but the bead roller makes it faster and much easier.

Default David Gardiner

David has probably the best dvd out on how to make panels by hand. Its about 2 1/2 hours long and has segments on different aspects of making panels. He has a piece of rail that he uses for almost everything you could think of. You can get it online under metalshapingzone or David Gardiner. It is mentioned on this site many times.
