Default Who knows how to post attachments with android tablets & phones

High members

I am updating the thread on how to attach photos to a post.

I do not have any android electronics, can someone help me with the process that they use.

First is it possible
I would like a step by step for dummies, assume I know nothing.
The steps I need are how to reduce photos or a camera setting to capture smaller pictures to upload to allmetalshaping.

Thanks in advance
Steve

Hi Steve, I am replying from a Samsung Smart Phone when I open from Google the device gives me a choice of opening from Samsung I select cancel otherwise a drawn out process starts.

Let select a photo from Gallary by the same method as PC select the paperclip.
20170609_125732.jpg

That has uploaded the same photo as I loaded from my iPad this morning.

The only thing that I find difficult is finding what I want to post on the 2 1/2" square screen, if you pinch the screen to zoom in and out it is so easy to loose your way.

I have been using a smart phone for possibly 5/6 yrs so it's easy for me when I am away from my PC and a bad signal.

Hope this helps.

It took me a little bit to figure it out on my phone (S7), it was fairly straight forward (same as doing it on a PC) until I got to the part where you attach the pic in the body of the post. When I went to the paperclip to insert the photos I had expanded (zoomed in) on the paperclip because 55 yr. old eyes and blunt fingers ..... well when you do that it seems to hide the list of pics. You have to use your surgeons skill to pick the paperclip without enlarging and the list will be visible and you can continue as on a PC. Hope that helps.

Hi Tom and skip

Thanks for the help. I will be doing the update soon.

So did you have to change the photo size ?

Is there a choice of photo size, as an option in the phone?

Thanks steve

Hi Steve, my pic size is 9.6M, take it that's megapixels but can adjust from 13 to 2.4, never look until now, easy to adjust as it comes with the list of other setting that are always on the viewing screen.
