If you leave a steel part soaking submerged in the MFR overnight it will have lost size and weight by the next day, ie: "acid dipped."

If you don't rinse, then the phosphoric coating remains, bonding the surface to your etching primer all the better.

Some great tips there Kent. I hadn't thought of using a reducing flame on parts with some rust, but it makes sense when pointed out.
