Neil, just read thru your work. Just great. Wish I still had my '62, had to leave it behind when I moved years ago, but didn't have the skills or place to work on it.

This is great to see.
I want to get into stamping too.
Just wondering how many tons of force it took to shape you part?

hi bart, i have 3, 5 ton bottle jacks spread out over 800mm, works pretty well

This is my little die I need to test out.
Planning on using rubber pad as female die. This video was a couple weeks back, its a lot cleaner and finished now.

not sure on rubber for a die but who am i to pass comment! if it works great! the 10mm flat steel bar i use as a female die has another 10mm flat bar above it, and it needs it. having said that there is a lot of shape being put in a small area in my door bottoms, if your mould is consistent along its length, it may work easier

No worries.
Yes in the pictures i shown its just the face of the die, on top of that now is an inch thick bar.
I hope to trial it this Saturday.
