Final assembly
Well the 32 saga is coming to an end Friday and now comes our final assembly. We took the body off the frame Monday and finished welding the cross members and trans mount , motor mounts and anything else we left for easy access when the body was off.
This gives me a great opportunity to see that when my customer gets it back and he takes it apart for paint that it will go back as simply as possible. This is the cross member I installed compared to the one it came with for the small block Chevy had me concerned it would not take the Hemi's torque. They don't call them Elephants for nothing I used a urethane bushing in my mounts like the ones we use in our four links. Here's a look a a Mopar starter looks like when installed on a Gm bell with Hot Heads Hemi's adaptor plate.

The adaptor works nicely and is only 3/4 of an inch and the aluminum flywheel comes with everything to shim it out and as you can see in the above photo's stay with the stock Mopar starter.
Were going with a hydraulic throw out bearing which will keep things clean and less congested.

*sigh*
I want my own shop to play in.. Those Hemi valve covers are big enough to land small aircraft on. Jeez, I love the look of those things- It's like Motor Porn.

Nice build brother!! Are you solid mounting the motor? I'm assuming the tranny will be solid mounted also?

Hi Chris
Actually I made the motor mounts with the same material as the rod bushing, and the trans is energy suspension.....If I plate mount the front I usually mid plate and solid trans mount also.... I did make that a drop out trans mount after I was done with my mock up........
