Ben
I'm a sheetmetal worker and weld everyday. I only use Speedglas helmets at work and at home, in my opinion they are the best. Remember you get what you pay for.

I have used the SpeedGlas model and it is quite nice. The neck apron takes a bit of getting used to, but the $1200 price tag is more than worth it when welding galvanized.

I have multiple helmets 7-8 and the limit that runs against my health is I cannot use ear plugs and must wear ear muffs and they do not fit under most helmets. I strongly suggest that you wear a helmet that fits you and your needs. If you need corrective lenses like my bifocals you need a helmet that can carry correctives, some do not. I use corrective lenses in the helmets that correct from my straight ahead view to close view so I don't have to look down where the helmet will not let me look to see close.
