Nice project Spencer. That gearbox looks tiny at the back of that big V12, I hope it handles the torque. Very brave chopping up a car that many others would try and make you save as a resto project.

You have an interesting project ahead of you. Very attractive body style. You work is clean and tidy with a nice working environ.

I think if you keep the chassis light and the engine heavy you will get the same handling that the aluminum-bodied NART spyders had, since the steel-bodied coupes tended to be stiffer in the corners.
Thank you Kent. My shop is fairly new (in the last 18 months) so I'm still outfitting it and trying my best to keep it clean. It is painted OSB inside which took about 40 gallons of paint!

I'm hoping to get fairly close to the real thing although some areas will be a little fudged. Weight balance is certainly a concern of mine for the handling. It will be a weekend cruiser not a track day car though.

It sure does! The t5 trans only weighs about 70lbs. This is the highest rated stock unit I could find which is out of a v6 mustang.. supposedly good to 310 ft/lbs. These v12s make less than that in stock trim but with my power adding modifications I have planned (intake plenums and headers, possibly cams at a later point) I will be pushing it. Thankfully I do have the option to upgrade later to a tko500 if the combination proves too weak.
