Post From Central Texas

Michael B. from the Austin area of Central Texas

I have been in the machining - tool and die making industry for 38 years and now manage a small manual machine shop for a company where my primary function is a senior level mechanical designer using solid modeling CAD software. Wildfire, Solidworks, NX, AutoCad

I joined this site because I have been out of touch working with sheet metal equipment. We have a couple of brakes and shears, a notcher and a roll.
I hope to get some in-site in, if not just a little refresher, on tips and tricks using this equipment.

Looking forward to reading a lot of interesting and informable threads here.

Best,

Rudedog

If you are into motorcycles, the Handbuilt Motorcycle show is happening there in Austin next month. Lots of custom metal work on cafe racers and the like. I think it's on the 10th, 11th and 12th of April at Free Market. Even if you're not into bikes, some of the metal work might be fun to see and talk to folks about. I'm hoping to trailer one of my BMWs down.

Oh, by the way, welcome.
