Introduction: Just Lookin
Hello,
My name is Rick and I live in Washington state, USA. I have always been interested in welding and metal working (metalworking?). I found sheet metal a few years ago on the web and have been reading, watching videos, and deciding whether to take the plunge into another hobby. I want to learn more than a non-member can see, and start small. As I was recently told, yes a bowl is a good first project. It gives you one or more chances to learn and one or more new places to store nuts, bolts, and screws. Ok. That's all I needed to know... Time to start.

Hi Rick
Rick came to the Wine Country Meet (a 14 hour drive one way) loaded with questions. He got more than a few answered I think. Other than Bill Longyard and Ben VonBerlo, if there had been a long distance award, he would have won.
He told me he'd been a lurker and I stressed that he needed to join. It's good to see that you did.

Thanks for the warm welcome
Steve, Cliffrod, and Peter - Thank you all for the warm welcome. Now I can re-read all your posts and see the pictures.
John - Thank you for the warm welcome, the kind words, and the fabulous get together at your shop. Lots of questions were answered and a lot of information was freely offered... but I'll always have more questions. Aloha.
