I really like learning how to do things by hand. I think that is where you really learn metalshaping or any craft.
Thank you. I know tool and die makers from the "old country" (my fathers' brother being one), that were given a file and a block of steel, and were told to make it a perfect cube with flat sides. You had to be within a tenth of a millimeter on all sides. We don't have time for that now. I don't know if it is for better or worse, it just is. |
