I helped a friend bleed his brakes and had to use a mirror and an oil squirt can with a hose extension, while laying on my back with legs over the back of the seat. It was not much fun. The owner could not fit or twist as needed.

Thanks Steve.

The cubby door in the pics I posted will be removable. There will be a stainless box for housing the brake parts accessible from the engine compartment with a drain tube to the ground. No fluids will enter the interior of the car. It will still be a tough reach when the car is together, but nothing like you describe. Wow, I just couldn't deal with that.

I may need to use an oil can or install a remote reservoir to keep things simple on the dash.

With the corners tacked up, I was able to get dimensions for the firewall panels. I went to the shop this morning and bent them up. Need a bunch of fine tuning including re-bending the bottom edges as they hang too low.

Hey, Pugsy, I thought that we agreed to never show any pictures of that 'experience', LOL. Clearly this is a 'before' picture, before I set it on fire with the welding. As much as I wanted to disagree with you that day, you sure turned out to be right! I thought it was a good idea at the time, but that is why we all go to these events - to learn something. In spite of the fact that I did it the 'long', less intellectual way, it turned out to be OK. That door is on that Panel Delivery truck that is now in a Henry Ford museum.

Right on.

You and Dutch took care of the issue real well. The panel tightened up nicely after working it.

Nice to see your progress on this project Pugsy. I look forward to seeing that car complete.

It has been a few years since I was able to attend your Metal meet due to work, but maybe next year.

Cheers
Dave
