Default My Reciprocating Machine

After our recent Metalshapers Gathering in Michigan I was asked if plans or parts might be available for my machine. I am considering making something available to the public but am wondering about how much interest there is.

My machine has a throat depth of 25 inches
Throat height is 16 inches
Fits in a 4 foot by 3 foot area.
Uses 19mm (3/4) square shank tooling.
Has a quick release upper tool lift mechanism.
1/8 inch stroke 800-1500 strokes/ min 1 hp motor.
Adjustable lower tool holder ( Rod Doc style)
Main frame made from 6"x12" 3/8 wall tubing.

I am thinking about making the upper mechanism available fully assembled for around $1500 or a complete machine with all guides, holders, stand and shrinking dies for $3500.

Chime in if you have any interest.

Hi Andy. As Dave suggests, some pics would be good. Might be interested in a set of plans as I have most of the machining gear here. Thanks.

I really don't want to put out plans. I think that making the upper mechanism with ram and lift mechanism intact will be the best way to go. I know this doesn't help you guys overseas and i'm sorry. If someone buys the upper mechanism from me then they can build the rest of the framework and lower tool holder however they want. Or they can get the parts and guide system and finish it from there. I will try to get some pictures up very soon.

Default Details coming soon

Mike I'm in the process of gathering enough materials to build 5 or 6 machines. I will be putting out a detailed flyer-brocure on what will be available in the next week. I don't fancy the idea of being a" machine" builder but aren't all of the cars I build just a machine too? Anyway look for details to come out soon.

I am at the point in my project where a machine like yours can be very helpful. I would like to get the first one you build, if its not already claimed. If you need something in the way of a deposit, let me know.

Some photos of this machine will generate much more interest than just talking about something only a few people have seen. Few people want to express interest in something they have not seen.
