Hey Leo was in Sioux Falls today and dropped by the shop. Leo dosn't have much time to post on the forum, but the regulars at the meet he's a star!! Leo plans on coming for the weekend. He has a nice set of sweeps. He found a shop and is working on having more cut to sell. He found a shop to do it, but they are having a little trouble. Sounds like by the meet he'll have at least one or two sets at least to show.

Hi Dan,

Penciled in my schedule and fighting to keep other things from invading. I expect to be attending. I have some Studebaker truck fenders to work.

Default Missing spring meet

Hello Dan,
I will be in the midst of German auto history in Stuttgart in the next two weeks.
Alas, I can only be in one interesting place at a time.

enjoy the event!

Hey Dan.

For those who have never attended, what do you plan for food and beverages this time?

Previous years you and Lu put a nice meal together on Saturday. Same plan? Pack your own meals for the other days (and nights).

Dan, that is above and beyond...

Remember all who attend. That coffee can by the plates should not be ignored. Dan and Lu go WAY out of there way to host us. It's not just about the food either. Powering 3 phase mills, drills, Eckolds, Pullmaxs, turret punches, shears, mag breaks, etc. all cost money.

If you want to keep experiencing events like this, make sure you tip well.

Chris is totally right. There are considerable expenses involved in hosting an event of this size. Dan will shut down his business days before to clean and organize and after the meet it will take him a few days to get back to work and even longer to find everything. Dan makes his living in his shop so this is a considerable expense for him.

I'm forever being asked how much is 'appropriate'. I normally say "whatever you think it's worth". When pushed, I'll say 20-30 bucks a day plus any materials you use.
