If you guys have a proper meet and find somewhere to hold it and it is next summer some time I may be able to get there. My sister and brother live in Seattle so I could pay them a visit.

How much room do you figure it would take?
What set ups would need to be in place. Air/Electric?(how much of each)
Not sure my shop could handle it but I'd entertain the idea.

I sure would like to see this happen.I am not a good organizer, but I have a lot of energy and will help in any way possible that I can. Let's make this a reality.

I also have a possible location depending on the requirements. I have a decent 80 Gallon compressor but don't have really any water or oil filtering on it. I don't have much for metal shaping tools either. I do have a pretty good sized shop. Summer would have to be the time since its not insulated for winter use. I do have outdoor power and plenty of room for tents, campers, and parking.

My shop is still "in process" and won't be completed until late next year. Otherwise I'd volunteer it as a place. Its also a little far away, being as I'm in Walla Walla. Bens place sounds great to me if he has room for camping and all.
I just want to add that it would be fantastic to have a true metal shaping expert like David gardiner there to guide us as well.

I agree it would be great to have David there as well as any other knowledgeable sources. I know I will only be working on the learning side of things, definitely not going to be teaching anybody anything.

Ben how big is your shop?

Just a few thoughts(ramblings..LOL)

Probably want to consider porta potty?
My thoughts would be IF(and I don't) I had a big enough shop my wife would be fine with the guys coming over but not sure about having a bunch of coffee drinking guys in and out of the house all day to use the toilet.
Unless the hosting shop has a restroom.

Since Mark has offered demo's and class instruction we should probably
try our best to work on his schedule as well as location needs.
I will volunteer to help load the trailer.(need one more?)

Maybe someone who's been involved in a meet could help us with a list of to-do's.
I'm also a watcher/learner but I'm enthusiastic about helping with set up
and what not.

Costs to host will add up and my guess a small fee would be needed.

Let keep this thread active so when the time comes we are ready!

I don't have exact measurements but I would guess the main enclosed section is 30' x 30' and then there is some room in the barn section for whatever also. Barn is probably 20x30 and has a finished upstairs that is currently empty but may be rented out soon. There is a wood and a steel workbench in the barn and a couple vises. The main shop has a welding table, mig welder, plasma cutter, band saw, 1500 lb hoist on trolleys, and I have basic mechanics hand tools. The band saw is a vertical Delta meant for wood. I may try to get the blade speed slowed down before then and I have a metal blade on order. It works fine for aluminum the way it is currently setup.
I have never been to a meet so I dont really know what is needed or what to expect. Does this go over a weekend or longer? I'm not married so the bathroom thing really isnt a big issue but I could pick up a porta potty if there are going to be a lot of people. Whats the usual turnout for something like this?
I have 2 secluded acres and 4 empty shared acres behind me. Depending on the size I could probably get a handful of campers in there and lots of places for tents to go. If I need a porta a fee would probably be good. Not sure how you guys usually setup food either. I've got a horseshoe pit and a beach volleyball court setup so nightly entertainment should be good to go.

Snohomish, sounds good to me. Unfortuneatly with having to cross the border I can't bring much in the way of tools. Having David there would make it a can't miss event. (No Pressure David)
