Default How many pieces?

Still pretty new at this, and my Maserati 4CM cyclekart project is giving me lots of practice so far. Soon to come is forming the main body section, and I'm looking for advice on how to approach this part. It has a mild reverse curve and the edge facing the driver has a rolled wire edge. Material will be .063 3003

So, because of the rolled edge, will I need to make this all in one piece, or is it possible to split it down the middle and (tig) weld it, then roll the edge? The rolled edge even extends all the way down the "side" panels. It seems like an unwieldy single piece to handle, so splitting it up would be nice, if practical.

Anyway, looking for input on approaches to this. Somebody managed it in 1933!

The side panels are made in one piece right up to the to scuttle, the top of scuttle is made from one piece, then welded to the side panels .
the whole scuttle panel when finished should be 3 pieces
The nose panel 2 sides welded in the middle
The tail section 3 pieces 2 sides one top
The rear scoop 2 pieces welded in the middle
Bonnet 2 pieces held together by a piano hinge in the middle
Peter

PS Carrozzeria Touring in Milan ( Italy) did make those cars, but other Carrozzeria's made some of them under contract afterwards.

one of them was Carrozzeria Nova Rinochente (Vigonza Italy)

I'd divide at the "shoulders" so, three pcs - top of reverse and two sides.
If you get your filler right - 1100 - then you can "wire" up the edges no prob, right on thru da welds ...
