I have a Miller Matic 250 with a spool gun for aluminum. Just finished a snowmachine tunnel restoration project. The tunnel was .062 thick. I used .025 4043 wire. I found that if you were to tilt the mig gun flatter to the work , you would have less chances of blowing through the material and does cut down the heat concentration .
