Default Hello in there.....

Hi folks, Most of you will recognize me from the other three Metal Shaping sites..... but for those who don't.... I have been into metal work since I was kid.... Dad was welder and we had a well equipped shop at home... So I was TIG welding when I was 9 years old..... (I'm 58 now)....Quite likely I have a few tricks that others might not, and I probably picked up a few bad habits along the way too.....
I worked for the National Park Service (The White House is a National Park, and was my major Duty Station) in the Metal Crafts Shops for 34 years doing work on anything metal in a park....Restorations to Maintenance and Special Projects... from Bronze Statues to Stainless Toilet Partitions.... Brass Lamps to Standing Seam metal roofs.... HVAC to Kitchen Hoods and Counters....Keeping motorized gates operating to repairing rusted out floorboards in the Trucks and repairing Mower Decks ...Making Signs to Fixing Fences and Hand Rails... You get the idea.... I retired from the Parks in 2007.
In 1984 I started my Part Time Business and started doing metal shaping, and building race cars. I'm still doing that, but these days I play more than I work.
I work on anything that comes in the door. About 20% of that is Metal Shaping...
I Ride my Motorcycles as much as I can and I play Guitar and sing in local Bars.....
I was a bit hesitant to sign on to another metal working site because it just seems like a lot of repetition, and I spend a lot of time on them already... But then I thought that it might like putting your money in different banks, just in case one crashes.......
So here I am....
Oh yeah... the title of this introduction, "Hello In There" is the title of one of my favorite John Prine songs.....
