What a women.
She is probably over the hammering.
Shes smart.

Ordered 2 books ,gave one to a friend.
Read it in one sitting, spent the next 2 days thinking my approach to my car would be a lot different if I had read this book 14months ago.

Worth reading.

Jim,
she is a diamond and no mistake. I haven't done any hammering yet, but she insisted I get all the hammers I could find at the Sunday market this w/e!

I have a lump of railway sleepering which will become a stump and that's all I'm missing to start having a go.

Cheers,
Martin

You havnt started hammering yet "oh dear".
When you are the markets you should reciprocate and buy her some ear muffs or even better an Ipod.

Haha, I suppose I should get some ear protectors for myself.

Fortunately we live on a big plot and the workshop is in the far corner. I'll keep the hammering for outside so the sound gets blown away on the endless wind.
We have no neighbours.
But for years she got used to me hammering model car bodies in 1/16th" brass, so ally shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers,
Martin

Bill was kind enough to send one for the door prize for Santa Cruz! BUT all I got was an empty envolope you would think if you saw a book on the ground you would find out were it came from They did stamp on the envolope that it had nothing in it!

Rick,

If it was a USPS flat rate cardboard envelope then I'm not surprised. Both Bill's EW book and Cass Nawrocki's arrived here with damage to the corners after the envelopes had given up hope.

Let's just hope karma guides the book to someone who'll enjoy it......

Mine arrived today, 2 days early in perfect condition in an amazon thick card envelope AND at a very good discount price.
I'm very pleased with it. What a LOT of info to absorb.

And I have been hammering these last two days with success!
Including making a swage with plywood tooling, left and right hand A Pillar panels for my son's 1951 Triumph Renown.

Tomorrow I have to make the passenger A-pillar in ash and fit it and repair some other wood rot with new timber and epoxy resin.
Then it's off to my chum to use his stretcher on the flanges to put the other curve in the pieces.

Thanks for a great book Bill!

Cheers,
Martin

To say I am pleased with this book would be an understatement. Reading it was like visiting old friends, Kerry pinkerton. Ben Van Berlo,Wray, Neil Dunder and Randy Ferguson
