Default OLD Iron

The American Truck Historical Society has their annual event this year in Huntsville and I went down to see if there was any metalshaping opportunity. Terry Stegal (first person to use thumbnails on a Pullmax) has a table set up.

Now this is not a street rod show by any means. What I saw were things like this perfectly restored MAC tanker out of the late 40's.

And this neat Grayhound converted to a motor coach.

Late 30's tanker

This is a DODGE BROTHERS truck. I didn't know Dodge Brothers (no relation to DODGE) made trucks. There was also a 1913 Oldsmobile depot hack...apparently they made 13 or so.

This is a 1 ton MACK, the smallest they made.

Not everything was restored...no one cared.

Spotted this on the back of a 52 Dodge flatbed. The guy was named EDLER from Belleville IL and did not KNOW Stan Lobitz but knew OF him.

All sorts of drivers I have heard of had driven this particular car.

Neat show. I'm still looking for an old truck body to put on my 76 Chevy crew cab dually to make a car hauler....

Here's a Coe for ya for $2,800.... but I'm not planning on coming your way by truck anytime soon so getting it to your place may be a bit difficult.

I take it you're talking to Kerry there CJ - don't think ANY of you are coming to my place soon - by truck or any other means

Love those COE's though - never seen one over here in South Africa. I feel another scratch build project coming on.....

I'm digging the little Mack too! You know, Doug Hawkins has a cool old Diamond Reo sitting on his property outside Oblong

The sprint car is pretty too.

Please don't tell me they had a swap meet section..............
