Default New guy from Bloomington, Indiana

Hello all... I am Jim and I'm looking to learn how to do metal flares on my LS1 Rx-7 so I can put larger rear tires on it.

I'm basically starting from scratch so I have ALOT of reading to do..

thanks
-Jim

Indy here. LS1 RX7? Awesome. I had an RX3 in the 70's and now have an RX8. Love the RX8 rotory but wish it had more low end torque. Read about a couple of Puerto Ricans that put a three rotor 20B with a turbo in an RX8 and had to dial it down to 450HP so it wouldn't blow out the rear end. They would brag how they could beat the local Vette owner.

I joined to get some idea how to manipulate metal since I have an old Jeep Cherokee that needs some metal replacement and after buying David Gardiner's metal shaping by hand, gave me more confidence to start practicing and since I don't have the big tools, I am limited to hand tools.

Link to David's thread and his DVD.
