Default Tesla body repair

I have read that there is a body shop in Minneapolis that specializes in repairing salvage Tesla bodies. Anyone know who that is?

I went to a lot of Audi aluminum training classes with many of their techs and met the owner several times. Class operation.

Default Salvage Teslas.

I don't think it is a sanctioned activity. this is the article about the operation.

If that's the case, tesla should lease instead of selling their cars outright.

I expect every manufacturer of every product would prefer that their product be replaced in whole rather than repaired. that's an ideal storm of engineered obsolescence. Short of that- Tesla could step up and buy them all back, like Eckold seems to do to keep their product & resale values where they want them to be.

WOW!! I can't imagine tackling something like that. I'm having a tough time wrapping my 75 year-old brain around hooking up Civic hybrid batteries for solar storage in my Sprinter.
