Default Super Intro!

Greetings!

My name is Tyler Lewis. I live in Maple Ridge BC which is a suburb of Metro Vancouver. I am a SPFX technician/fabricator in the local film industry (Iatse891) I am also a pipefitter welder with UA170.

I have a small shop in my garage with all sorts of toys like welders, drill presses, an english wheel and a stump.

I also have a World War Two era manual shear and powered hacksaw.

The coolest tool I have is the beautiful, custom made Metal Shaper that I recently picked up from a talented old timer machinist.

I'm really into (forced to) making my own tools as there is little selection for specialty tools here in Canada and what is out there is overpriced. I'm looking forward to being part of this forum and the opportunity to absorb some knowledge.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Tyler, Welcome to the forum - where some guys also make tools and customize tools and make machines do other stuff than they were originally purposed for. You will enjoy it.
