Default Intro from TX

Hello,
My name is Steve and I'm located in Houston, TX.

I'm a recovering electrical engineer. After 25+ years, I wanted to try something different... and that I did. Dog training for a couple years didn't satisfy my desire and talent to make things.

My father was a cabinetmaker so I've been working with wood all of my life. I decided not everything can/should be made out of wood. I've started collecting tools, making tools (brake, small ring roller) and have learned TIG and MIG welding.

I am now designing and making unique furniture (chairs, tables, etc.) using a blend of metal and wood. My designs employ fluid curves in both wood, sheet metal, and square tubing. I'm learning to wheel and hope to employ more organic shapes into my designs for furniture.

thanks .

steve
