All welded up including filler neck and half coupler for outlet. Leak check next and then final polish.

Just for fun Jeff try another (or just a portion that gave you the most trouble) and see how many pieces you can drop off with your new skills.

Great work, Jeff, that looks as professional as anyone could wish for and I'm delighted to have helped a little.
As Jere suggests, next time you make one of those you'll tap it out of one piece and wonder what all the fuss was about :-)
In return you seem to have coaxed me out of retirement and I now have a little project on the go, which I will share in due course.

Thanks for all your help. Before I tackle another tank or even part of one I think I'll do the front fender in aluminum. The stock one is steel and now that I have an aluminum tank and rear fender it would look funny with a painted front fender .

Yes, it could be a be a while before I get there. We have a house project coming that will put the motorcycle project on the back burner for a while.
