Wow.

What a day. We had a flood of newbs come in all at the same time this morning. Had to try and get them all set up and into gear at the same time.

We had 19 turn out not including Chef Mark and myself.

Anyhow, a few pics.

This is Rob on the left and Chris Stapley on the right:

Luckily for me, Pete (on the left) showed up as he has some shaping know how and was a great help. That's Andy on the right . He had a pair of 36 Chevy fenders with dents in the front of each:

This is Ian (Ian1960Impala) on the right and his pal Phil making a lower valance for an MGA roadster:

Rob wheeling a most important learning panel, the reverse curve:

L-R: Paul, Derrol, George checking out Derrol's Maserkarty panel:

A miracle occurred at the first annual Hogtown Metalshaping Meet.
Derrol came in with his ewheel and it was actually painted after 5 years:

Of coarse every meet should have a hot rod:

Good thing there were alot of stumps available. There were about 8 bowls going at the same time:

My buddies son, Jeff came by, finished a bowl and then took a flex pattern from a welding mask. He almost had enough time to get it done:

This pedal car showed up for some much needed panel repair:

A few pics of the MGA lower valance panel:

I have more pics in my other camera at work to post.

Man am I ever beat.
But it was worth it. What a great day today with a bunch of really great guys coming by.

Thanks again to Pugsy for hosting the meet. Had a great time. I liked the slide show you had of Ken and his projects. It was nice to hear all the newbs talk about Ken and knowing of his projects. I also want to thank Mark for barbecuing our lunches.

Hopefully we'll see you next year John.
Should be an annual event if things continue to go well at work.
