I think it depends on your plan of use.

I just bought a Harbor Freight version with a coupon for less the $80. My plan was to get some inexpensive dimple dies to pair with the die holes. I have since learned that the knockout dies are for pipe sizes, not tubing, and therefore the actual hole diameter is NOT same as the pipe "size". For example a 2" pipe knockout die is actually 2.4" diameter. There are few manufacturers of pipe-sized dimple dies and most are pricey relative the cost of the hole punch. I have yet to find tubing sized knockout die to punch dimple die-sized holes (1" 1.5" 2" etc)

I'm still on the fence whether I'm keeping the punch or not. Haven't even opened it.
