considering how damaged and rusted the frame rail is, I would cut the frame rail in 2, straighten the inside rail member panel and make a new outer and spot or plug weld that back on, the other issue you may encounter is those frame rails may be hardened from factory, so spring back will be a problem.
Bending is also highlighted when you weld pieces in as like yours has. Most of the 450's had bad issues with front sub frame, suspension mounts ripping out was a common problem and excessive corrosion, I have re-welded quite a few of these, and have repaired rust issues. IMO I think the issue with rust was the underbody sealer that Merc used was hard and used to crack in corners and at joins allowing water ingress, then rust would take place under the sealer without notice. You will find the Sub-frame has bent due to no structural support of the frame rails. You maybe able to pick up another sub-frame pretty cheap.
