so i started to make a tucking fork on the lathe as its probably quicker than waiting for one to be delivered, but I've got plenty to get on with...

Put some more shape on to the bulbous right from the other end, and pull down towards the end near where the joint is going to be ,then stretch some more at the top ,( all the way) try to have the panel open a bit so you can use a flat as possible wheel ....you can always close the panel when you think you have enough shape
At this point you can start cutting SOME unwanted material off, but be careful not to cut too much!
