Top panels for hood
The top panels are 54" long so I bought some 4x 10 sheets of aluminum and got 4 panels per sheet. My shear is 52" so it was a little tricky cutting them but by removing the fence and twisting them around I made it work. The dies I made for the Pullmax didn't hold up in delrin so I made them in aluminum. They made small marks on the deep parts but lightly sanded out. After making the body line on the side of the hood the panels were put in the slip rolls, slowly putting an even bow in them to match the cowl panel. The front of the hood has a real sharp bow in it to fit to the horseshoe grill so that will be done with the rubber tire on the wheel. Once that bow is put is done the final body line will be put in with brake. The lower hood hold down panels had been made out of .50 aluminum and were to light so I made them out of .90 and wooden hammer forms to shape the indents.
