Went back to NASCAR country (Mooresville, N.C.) to visit the 96 Gaunt Brothers Racing shop to deliver some drawing that I made for them to make a tire/fender clearance tool like I had in the early days. They had shown some interest and I sad that I would make them a drawing. If the driver 'kisses' the wall and has a flat outer tire, you stop the car 3' short and insert the 4" roller and tell the driver to go 3'. Jack the car up and change the tire and set it down, insert the 2" roller, drive another 3' then get the hell outta Dodge. This give complete tire clearance with out the time and danger of using the hammer and pound method. While I was there, I helped unload the cars from the Las Vegas race. Driver went entire race without a scratch.

I included a picture of Dale Sr. that shows the origin of the "Damn I'm Good" T-shirts. They obviously come in different sizes.

Also stopped by Ray Evernhams shop to get a look at the vintage Indy car of Mario's that won his class at Pebble Beach this year.
