Model A Speedster Aluminum Body Build
I finally got my new computer and the Dreamweaver software figured out enough that I wanted to share the progress made at Kerry's Dixieland meet and Dan's Rout56 meet recently, and to specifically thank all those that helped make progress on this project.
Many thanks of course to Kerry Pinkerton and Dan Pate for their hosting of these events and of course to my 'cousin' Per for an overwhelming list of tips and tricks that he was gracious enough to share with us all. Also thanks to Jim Hery and Jeff Newton for helping to fit and tack weld the aluminum panels and to Mike Stinson for his edging me towards having the courage to pursue gas welding. His display of the Meco midget torch and the smaller hoses was very helpful along with his 'instructions'. I have made good strides here at the shop in being able to gas weld these aluminum panels. (some practice, but not yet on the speedster panels, but very close). Help from Kent finished up the few details that I was looking for.
The panels are not finished, as I want to gas weld them together and then fit them to the chassis before 'smoothing' them out.
